across the top of the barrel we have the colt's patent mark and also the new york city production location. and what it is is a model 1851 colt's patent revolver. it's not made in 1851. that's just the model. they made these on up until 1873, which was still way before teddy roosevelt. if we turn the gun over, we have the serial number. it's 128,000. and thanks to mr. colt's bookkeepers, we know that that was made in 1862. oh, okay. so it was made during the heart of the civilar. what's special about it is that we have the letter e. yes. and that's very important for a colt firearm. that lets us know that it was to be engraved or embellished. this gun has beautiful scrollwork. yes. s. classic styling. i mean, it... wow. if you notice, there's a wolf's head. you can see the eye, the mouth. that's the sign of being engraved at the shop of gustav young, who was the premier engraver for colt firearms. he was like the picasso of gun working. oh, my god. to a colt guy, that sends chills up your arm. because it's not signed by him, it doesn't have his name on it, we can't say that he's the one th

one of my favorite examples was a group out of new york city called the area code. if you are looking at lots of examples of creative solutions to problems, is one to look at. they did a game around money where communities in the south that have high rates of mortgage defaults, and low rates of savings, and they made up a currency called macon money. macon, georgia, so they had macon money. ads in dollar bills but all of them have been cut in half. they gave out all this money, but they were all half a dollar bill. the currency could be used in local stores in services like cash, but you had to find the other person with half of your bill, and they created a social gaming environment where you could meet up. if we met in a coffee shop we could use its air, and it created a social layer and physical community to transform the community and also bring positive of motions, that you have solved this problem and have success, and it is really interesting. basically, my answer is yes. there are so many crazy things you can thing to do with a game design that bring in posi

a writer friend of mine was walking on burke avenue in new york city and he passed a blind man who was assigned the good please help me i'm blind. my friend is kind of walked by them and, but then he stopped and he saw this guy only had a couple coins in his hat was so he dropped in a couple of quarters and then he asked the man permission to just change the story a little bit for this guy, which he did and later in the afternoon he came back and pass the guy again and the hut was full of coins of those and he stopped and talked to the guy in a blind man admitted have never had a day quite like this. you have to tell me what she wrote. how did you change my story? and my friend said i just added a couple of words and error please help me i'm blind and it's spring. it just change the whole story for the guy. we all have a story. maybe a couple stories people use to describe those. our families have a story about who we are to them and usually are often they involve a nickname we don't particularly care for. my father used to call me skippy. i have no idea why to this day. do we have man
